Job Summary
Provide technical leadership and drive the successful delivery of Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls projects across APAC sites, ensuring alignment with regional and global standards while enhancing system reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, integration, and commissioning of BMS and controls systems for projects of varying size and complexity across APAC sites
- Develop, implement, verify, and enforce engineering policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and high-quality BMS deployments
- Align local BMS activities with regional and global standards to maintain system consistency and compliance
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including design and construction teams, regional and local operations, vendors, consultants, and customers to deliver integrated solutions
- Identify system risks and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and operational efficiency of BMS
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to evaluate and validate component suitability for deployment in data center environments
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BMS by providing technical training and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Lead customer meetings as the BMS SME to gather requirements, resolve technical issues, and support customer inquiries
- Support customer Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and respond to technical inquiries related to BMS solutions
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in Controls, BMS, Automation, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in control system design, integration, commissioning, or lifecycle management, with strong emphasis on controls
- Proven experience working in data center environments
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally as required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated by selecting appropriate tools and methods for system challenges
- Experience with multiple BMS platforms and knowledge of MQTT, RESTful APIs, or modern data integration architectures
- Experience standardizing BMS deployments across multi-site or multi-country portfolios
