Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Bioengineering Research Intern to support one of our portfolio companies. In this role, you will join our research team to conduct comprehensive literature reviews and develop innovative experimental bioengineering design concepts. Key Responsibilities
- Literature Reviews: Conduct comprehensive research on marine-resource bioengineering, including fermentation design, strain collection, and biotech product development.
- Data Synthesis: Analyze scientific literature and summarize molecular interactions between compounds and active sites into clear, organized reports.
- Experimental Design: Create innovative research concepts based on current trends and identified literature gaps.
- Protocol Development: Assist the team in building robust research methodologies and experimental protocols.
- Digital Analysis: Support molecular docking studies and in silico analyses where applicable.
- Team Collaboration: Present scientific findings clearly to cross-functional teams through presentations and written documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bioengineering undergrads (Year 2+) or recent graduates.
- Schedule: Your university calendar (e.g., local Singapore or Indonesia institutions) must support a July–Dec internship.
- Location: Must be already based in Singapore or Indonesia for on-site lab work.
- Knowledge: Strong foundation in bioengineering and molecular biology.
- Skills: Solid research, data analysis, and scientific writing skills.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Status: Must hold a valid student pass or authorization to intern locally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academics: Second Major or specialization in Future Foods or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Software: Hands-on experience with molecular docking software (e.g., AutoDock, Schrödinger). Methodologies: Knowledge of in silico simulation, computational biology, or bioinformatics tools (PubChem, UniProt).
- Tech Skills: Basic proficiency in Python, R, or other languages for data analysis.
- Experience: Prior research experience, lab projects, or internships in related biotechnology fields.
