Job Summary
As a BIM Modeler, you will perform 3D modeling and document shop drawings for concrete and precast concrete products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer design requirements.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze basic construction drawings and precast detailing to inform accurate BIM modeling
- Apply BIM modeling techniques and standards to create detailed models from design proposals through to production drawings under guidance
- Develop, prepare, and organize 2D and 3D documentation for presentations and project-related assignments
- Produce and format plotted or printed documentation and drawings for discussion and submission purposes
- Extract quantity take-offs (QTO) from 3D BIM models to support tender bids and project information requirements
- Manage 3D model amendments, revisions, and track Requests for Information (RFI) to maintain project accuracy
- Verify the integrity and accuracy of model design and information in alignment with company BIM standards
- Collaborate proactively with management and designated managers to fulfill additional assigned duties
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Proficient in Autodesk CAD software and BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit, Planbar, and Tekla to produce precise models and documentation
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting purposes
- Ability to multitask and work independently with a proactive and positive attitude
- Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
