1. BIM Implementation & Strategy

• Develop and implement BIM strategies for construction projects.

• Prepare and manage the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and client requirements.

• Support digital transformation within the construction organization.

2. Model Coordination

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models including:

  • Architectural

  • Structural

  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)

• Conduct clash detection using BIM coordination software.

• Review and validate BIM models submitted by consultants and subcontractors.

Typical software used:

• Autodesk Revit

• Navisworks Manage

• AutoCAD

• Autodesk Construction Cloud

3. Construction Coordination

• Lead BIM coordination meetings with consultants and subcontractors.

• Resolve design conflicts and clashes before site construction.

• Support site teams with accurate digital models.

• Coordinate shop drawings and construction models.

4. Digital Construction & 4D/5D BIM

• Integrate BIM models with construction schedules (4D).

• Support cost estimation and quantity take-offs (5D).

• Assist project teams in digital construction planning.

5. BIM Standards & Quality Control

• Establish company BIM standards, templates, and workflows.

• Ensure model quality, naming conventions, and data integrity.

• Maintain BIM libraries and project databases.

6. Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise BIM coordinators and BIM modelers.

• Provide technical support and training to project teams.

• Improve BIM competency across the construction organization.

7. Project Deliverables & Handover

• Ensure BIM deliverables meet client and project requirements.

• Manage model updates during construction phases.

• Support as-built BIM models and digital handover for facility management.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in:

  • Civil Engineering

  • Architecture

  • Construction Management

  • Building Engineering

  • Or related discipline

Experience

• 8-10+ years in construction or AEC industry

• 3-5 years in BIM management or coordination

• Experience with large-scale construction projects such as:

  • Commercial buildings

  • Infrastructure

  • Residential developments

  • Industrial projects

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in BIM software:

• Autodesk Revit

• Navisworks

• AutoCAD

• Dynamo

• Autodesk Construction Cloud

Knowledge of:

• BIM Level of Development (LOD)

• BIM collaboration workflows

• ISO BIM standards (ISO 19650)

• Clash detection & model federation

• Digital construction and model-based coordination

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and team management

• Excellent communication with consultants and site teams

• Problem-solving and conflict resolution

• Project coordination and time management

Preferred Certifications

• BuildingSMART BIM Certification

• Project Management Professional (PMP) is an advantage
