Job Summary
Benefits Realization and Optimization Manager / Senior Manager will lead the strategic measurement, tracking, and realization of benefits for investments in the new Policy Administration System (PAS) and other major initiatives. This role will design and implement a business case framework that ties project investments directly to outcome measurement, ensuring value delivery beyond simple deliverables. The scope will also include developing, applying, and extending benefits realization plans across diverse organizational initiatives, working closely with operational and finance teams to drive optimization, including non-staff-related costs such as medical fees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust business case and benefits realization frameworks for all new investments, beginning with the new PAS and extending to other strategic initiatives.
- Measure and track the realized outcomes of investments, comparing actual impacts (e.g., cost savings, efficiency gains, customer experience) to the original business case, and report these findings to senior leadership.
- Lead the ongoing tracking and optimization of benefits, establishing governance overall project tracking tools, KPIs, and reporting processes, and ensuring transparent linkage from investment to realized business outcomes.
- Establish and maintain benefit realization plans for cross-functional initiatives, supporting respective areas in identifying, quantifying, measuring, and achieving both direct and indirect benefits.
- Deliver regular, actionable reports and presentations to the COO, executive committee, and board, ensuring decisions are based on sound benefit measurement and investment analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and build capability in benefits tracking and optimization with initiative owners, creating a culture of continuous business value delivery.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance or related field, with relevant experience in the insurance or broader financial services industry.
- Demonstrated experience in business case construction, tracking real project benefits, and working with cross-functional teams to drive non-staff optimization (e.g., reducing medical provider costs or renegotiating supplier contracts).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills to influence senior decision-makers and operational teams.
- Preference for those with proven integration and optimization expertise within insurance or related industries.
