Job Summary
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately following recipes and customer preferences to ensure quality and consistency
- Take and serve drink orders promptly to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain efficient service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment, to meet health and safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and notify management of stock shortages or replenishment needs to support uninterrupted bar operations
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol serving laws, health, and safety regulations to maintain legal and safe service practices
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere and improve their overall experience
- Assist in developing specialty cocktails, promotions, and seasonal drink menus to attract and retain customers
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately when required to support smooth financial operations
- Support team members during busy periods to contribute to efficient and smooth bar operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and legal regulations to ensure compliance and safety
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience as a bartender in a hotel, restaurant, or bar environment to demonstrate practical skills and familiarity with hospitality settings
- Knowledge of drink mixing, cocktails, and beverage preparation techniques to deliver quality beverages
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to maintain service quality during busy periods
- Responsible, punctual, and able to maintain a professional appearance to represent the brand positively
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to meet operational needs
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control to assist in maintaining bar supplies
