Job Summary
You will welcome clients, consult on hairstyles, and perform hair cutting, trimming, styling, and treatments while maintaining hygiene and supervising trainees to ensure excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand and recommend hairstyles that meet their preferences
- Cut and trim hair precisely according to client instructions
- Style hair using chemical treatments and styling tools to achieve desired looks
- Shave, trim, and shape clients beards and mustaches with accuracy
- Wash and condition clients hair to maintain hair health
- Apply hair treatments and color to enhance client appearance
- Clean and sanitize combs, scissors, razors, and other tools after each use to ensure hygiene
- Supervise apprentices and trainees to support their skill development
- Provide face, scalp, and neck massages to enhance client relaxation and experience
- Offer hairstyle suggestions based on current trends and client features
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Sound knowledge of current hairstyles and trends to advise clients effectively
- Ability to follow instructions accurately during hair treatments and styling
- Ability to stand for extended periods to perform duties efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with clients and team members
- Exceptional customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction
