Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meats using smokers, grills, and open flame techniques
- Maintain proper temperature and timing controls to ensure meats are cooked safely and consistently
- Trim, season, marinate, and monitor meats throughout the smoking and cooking process
- Operate and maintain smokers, grills and or other kitchen equipment
- Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and portion guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and assist with prep work, plating, and clean-up as needed
- Manage inventory of barbecue supplies and ingredients notify of low stock level
- Keep work area, equipment, and tools clean and organized at all times
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of smoking techniques, meat cuts, and seasoning methods
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Able to perform spilt shift, work on weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
