We are seeking a results-driven IT Project Manager (Applications) to lead end-to-end delivery of technology application projects within a structured enterprise environment. The role involves managing project scope, timelines, budgets, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation while meeting quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of IT application projects to ensure delivery within agreed scope, timeline, cost, and quality.
- Develop detailed project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
- Monitor and report project progress, financials, risks, and issues to management and governance committees.
- Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies and enterprise processes.
- Manage scope changes and assess impacts on time, cost, quality, and risk.
- Initiate and review test strategies; track test execution, defect resolution, and overall quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal governance requirements.
Financial & Cost Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.
- Assess and report cost variances and impacts arising from scope changes.
- Collaborate with solution, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure accurate estimation and cost control.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Work with procurement teams to manage work orders, statements of work (SOW), contracts, invoicing, and payments.
- Oversee vendor performance to ensure contractual obligations and project deliverables are met.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, monitor, and escalate project risks and issues.
- Drive resolution through collaboration with stakeholders and governance committees.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage and collaborate with business units, technology teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, and delivery expectations.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in managing IT application projects within medium to large enterprise environments.
- Experience in budget management, cost estimation, and financial tracking.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor contract management.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within structured industries (e.g., financial services, insurance, public sector, or similar environments).
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under defined timelines.
Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are advantageous.
