We are seeking a skilled Backup Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support enterprise backup environments. This role focuses on ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of backup systems across on-premises and cloud platforms, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Administer and support enterprise backup environments using backup management tools
• Manage backup infrastructure, including storage systems, repositories, and tape libraries
• Configure and maintain backup solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms
• Monitor backup operations, troubleshoot failures, and ensure service levels are met
• Support storage and SAN environments, including connectivity and performance issues
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve technical issues
• Follow IT service management processes, including incident, change, and problem management
• Perform system health checks, upgrades, and maintenance activities
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and reports
• Support automation initiatives for backup and recovery processes

• Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery concepts and tools
• Experience with storage systems, data protection, and deduplication technologies
• Understanding of tape backup operations and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with cloud-based backup and recovery solutions
• Knowledge of SAN environments and storage connectivity
• Experience working with Linux, Unix, and Windows systems
• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., shell scripting or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in backup and storage administration in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with backup tools and storage systems
• Familiarity with cloud backup or disaster recovery solutions
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure environments
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience working within structured IT service processes
