The Marketplace Promotion Engineering team works on features and systems that support Shopee's unique promotion mechanisms and strategies. This includes features such as Vouchers, Flash Sales, Bundle Deals and more. These promotion mechanisms are critical components of our Shopee Marketplace that provide discounts to our buyers, drive traffic to our platforms and boost orders for our sellers.
Job Description
- Design, develop and maintain backend services
- Collaborate with the product team and provide technical inputs to support product decision making
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to the end solution
- Execute and implement technical designs
- Troubleshoot issues related to business logic or performance
- Collaborating in a highly cross-functional environment with fellow Software Engineers, Product Managers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Operation Engineers to deliver impact.
- Adopting and integrating LLM/AI to improve the overall development workflow
Requirements
- Bachelor's or a higher degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Familiar with commonly used backend programming languages, such as Golang / Python / C++ / Java
- In-depth understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms, Networking, OS and other Computer Science fundamentals
- Familiar with Linux operating system
- Familiar with relational databases such as MySQL
- Exposure to performance tuning of high load systems
- Familiar with using LLM/AI to aid development and day to day
