Our client looking for a Backend Engineer, AI (based in Singapore) to join a fast-growing technology team. You will work on the backend systems that power AI-driven product features, connecting AI models with applications used by customers.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and maintain backend services supporting AI-powered features
• Build APIs that connect AI models with web, mobile and desktop applications
• Support AI inference pipelines, workflow orchestration and model integrations
• Assist in improving system latency, throughput, caching and streaming performance
• Monitor system performance through logging, alerts and observability tools
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support incident resolution
• Work closely with AI, machine learning, frontend and product teams
• Continuously improve system reliability based on actual product usage

The ideal candidate should be/have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline
• Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are welcome
• Good foundation in Python, Node.js or another backend programming language
• Familiarity with APIs, databases and backend application development
• Interest in Large Language Models, generative AI or machine learning systems
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or cloud environments would be advantageous
• Able to analyse problems, debug issues and learn new technologies quickly
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Willing and able to work according to US time zones when supporting the technical team

Internship experience, university projects, personal AI applications or GitHub portfolios will be considered.

You do not need to meet every technical requirement. We welcome candidates who have strong programming fundamentals, a genuine interest in AI and the motivation to learn from real production systems.
