Backend Engineer, Engineering Infra - DBaas (2027 Graduate)

• Design and build cloud-native database service solutions to support Shopee's global critical business operations. Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of system services in a large-scale distributed environment.
• Design and construct a database service ecosystem, encompassing key systems such as db metadata system and db event center.
• Collaborate with DBAs and other technical teams to provide advanced, reliable, and scalable technical solutions based on business requirements and multi-IDC scenarios.
• Design and develop Kubernetes storage and intelligent scheduling solutions.
• Ensure the reliability of the database services, respond to and resolve various online issues, and build intelligent monitoring and diagnostic tools.

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or related fields
• Passionate about coding and programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems
• In-depth understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networks, databases, etc)
• Strong and hands-on experience with at least one of the programming languages: Go, Python, Java
• Strong logical thinking abilities

Good To Have

• Hands-on experience and knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL
• Familiar with container tech

• Experience in the design and development of large-scale distributed systems
• Hands-on experience in Web Service frameworks and performance tuning of Web Server
