Backend Developer (Python / Java) – Contract (Renewable)

Salary: Up to SGD 5,500 (depending on experience)

Job Description We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and/or Java. The role involves building scalable APIs, integrating systems, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and/or Java (React experience is optional)
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs and backend business logic
- Build and optimise database queries, schemas, and data access layers
- Integrate backend services with frontend applications and external systems
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, and reliability standards
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Perform unit and integration testing for backend components
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Support SIT and UAT activities including defect analysis and resolution
- Assist in deployment support and post-go-live stabilisation
- Maintain technical documentation
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in backend development using Python and/or Java (React experience is optional)
- Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend logic
- Experience working with databases and system integration
