Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will define data architecture strategies, ensure adherence to best practices, and partner with stakeholders to build enterprise-grade data platforms with a strong focus on cloud governance, optimization, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data architecture using Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL DB, Databricks, etc.
- Define data modeling standards and implement optimized data storage solutions.
- Develop data integration, migration, and transformation strategies using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into architectural solutions.
- Optimize performance and cost efficiency of cloud-based data platforms.
- Stay updated with Azure advancements and recommend continuous improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in Azure-based data architecture and solution design.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hub, Cosmos DB.
- Deep knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Spark.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
Experience
- 8+ years in data engineering or data architecture roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure data services.
Preferred Certifications & Tools
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Experience with Power BI, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center
