My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS System Engineer (AWS Certified) to lead and shape our regional IT landscape across Asia Pacific. This is a critical hands-on technical role, mainly focused on the architecture, implementation, and management of our existing on-premises data centers, Microsoft Azure, and upcoming AWS Cloud infrastructure.

- Lead and manage the lifecycle of Data Center, AWS, and Microsoft Azure platforms from conceptualization through implementation and post-live operations.
- Architect and design comprehensive solutions for AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and on-premises data centers, ensuring alignment with company policies and security requirements.
- Perform technical feasibility studies and recommend technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across the region.
- Provide clear and concise presentations to senior stakeholders on project progress and issue resolution.
- Manage cloud and data center infrastructure operations to meet agreed service levels.
- Ensure all infrastructure and systems comply with local and international laws, standards, and regulations, including robust security, monitoring, and governance practices.
- Manage and maintain infrastructure inventory, including hardware, software, and services.
- Develop and update technical policies, standards, and SOPs.
- Conduct proactive monitoring of infrastructure and respond to alerts promptly.
- Perform regular upgrades and updates to ensure systems are secure and compliant.
- Create and maintain automation scripts using tools like CloudFormation and PowerShell for effective operations and reporting.
- Lead and deliver assigned infrastructure projects, maintenance, and upgrades within approved budgets and timelines.
- Conduct ICT recovery tests and participate in Regional Disaster Recovery Exercises.
- Lead and manage virtualization projects, including Hyper-V clusters and VMware ESXi, to improve infrastructure efficiency and utilization.
skills and experience required
5+ years of relevant experience in managing and architecting multi-cloud and data center infrastructure, with a focus on AWS and Azure.
Proven track record in successful project implementation across various cloud and on-premises environments. Experience with cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management. Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
Technical competency and project experience in:
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Huawei Cloud.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Ansible, CloudFormation.
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V.
- Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python.
- Identity Management: Active Directory, Azure AD, AWS IAM.
