AWS Platform Lead

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Lead to drive the endtoend onboarding of AWS accounts and workloads into our AWS Landing Zone. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between application teams, cloud engineering, security, and operations to ensure that new environments are provisioned securely, compliantly, and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the AWS account onboarding process from requests through to production readiness.

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (Cloud Engineering, Security, Networking, DevOps) to coordinate account setup and configurations.

• Oversee account provisioning using AWS Control Tower and enforce baseline controls like GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM Identity Center, and CloudTrail.

• Validate compliance with CIS and AWS Foundational Security Best Practices prior to handover.

• Communicate onboarding progress and status to stakeholders and maintain clear documentation and knowledge resources.

• Identify opportunities to improve onboarding workflows and automate manual tasks.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience (5+ years) in enterprise IT operations, cloud service delivery, or project management with strong AWS exposure.

• Deep understanding of AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, IAM, networking, and core security services.

• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, AWS WellArchitected Framework, and cloud security best practices.

• Experience with InfrastructureasCode tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent communicator capable of working with both technical and nontechnical audiences.

• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
