We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Lead to drive the end-to-end onboarding of AWS accounts and workloads into a secure, compliant AWS Landing Zone built on AWS Control Tower, aligned with CIS and AWS Foundational Security Best Practices. This role serves as the key liaison across application, cloud engineering, and security teams to ensure smooth provisioning and operational handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the AWS account onboarding lifecycle from request to production readiness.
- Coordinate with application, cloud, security, network, and DevOps teams to meet requirements and timelines.
- Oversee account provisioning via Control Tower Account Factory and enforce baseline security controls using IaC.
- Ensure network connectivity and guardrails are correctly implemented.
- Validate compliance with CIS and AWS security best practices prior to handover.
- Act as the primary point of contact, providing clear status updates and maintaining onboarding documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in enterprise IT operations, cloud delivery, or project management (AWS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of AWS Control Tower, Organizations, IAM, networking, and security services.
- Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and security best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD, and compliance tooling.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
