We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support cloud infrastructure and applications hosted on AWS. The role combines hands-on cloud engineering with production support, ensuring cloud environments are secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available.
Design, build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services on AWS.
Manage and support AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, Route 53 and Load Balancers.
Provide production support for AWS-hosted applications and infrastructure, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and service restoration.
Monitor system health, availability, performance and capacity, and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Support incident, problem and change management processes for production environments.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Build and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or AWS native services.
Work with application, DevOps, security and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues across application and cloud infrastructure layers.
Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM, network security, encryption, logging and access controls.
Automate operational and repetitive tasks using scripting such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
Participate in production deployments, maintenance activities and, where required, on-call support.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
4+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure or Production Support, with strong hands-on AWS experience.
Good understanding of AWS architecture, networking, security and high-availability concepts.
Hands-on experience with core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS and CloudWatch.
Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS is advantageous.
Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK, Grafana or similar.
Good scripting and automation skills.
Understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively during production incidents.
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer would be advantageous.
