AWS Cloud Engineer

The AWS Cloud Engineer role offers an opportunity to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for a technology company focused on mobility, safety, and risk analytics. Based in Singapore, the position combines cloud architecture, database development, workflow automation, security, and systems integration to support reliable and cost-efficient cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and architecture

• Optimise cloud environments for security, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

• Develop and manage database schemas while improving the performance of complex SQL queries

• Build and automate workflows using AWS Step Functions

• Establish and enforce cloud security best practices and architectural standards

• Develop APIs and SDKs to support secure integration with external partners and clients

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Strong proficiency in Python programming

• 2-3 years of proven experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS

• Solid understanding of database design, data modelling, and advanced SQL queries

• Knowledge of AWS cloud principles and the AWS Well-Architected Framework

• Experience with AWS security services, Git, and GitLab

• AWS certifications would be an advantage

• Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and their integration into applications would be valuable

• Experience developing dashboards, internal tools, or data visualisation platforms is highly regarded

• Understanding of data analytics and machine learning concepts would be beneficial
