The Role

• Trust Oversight & Administration

. Manage and monitor the family's UK trust structures, ensuring compliance with UK trust law, tax obligations, and reporting requirements.

. Liaise with UK corporate trustees, legal counsel, and tax advisors to ensure proper execution of trustee duties.

. Review and interpret trust deeds, letters of wishes, and related documentation.

• Advisory & Governance

. Provide strategic advice to principals and beneficiaries on trust management, distributions, amendments, and succession planning.

. Advise on tax and legal implications of changes in trust structures, including:

-- Setting up new trusts Merging or restructuring existing trusts.

-- Moving assets in and out of existing trusts.

-- Estate and succession planning across generations.

. Ensure alignment of trust structures with the family's governance framework and long-term objectives.

. Act as the internal protector or watchdog, safeguarding beneficiaries interests.

• Stakeholder Management

. Coordinate with external legal, tax, and financial advisors across jurisdictions.

. Serve as the key point of contact for trustees in the UK and other service providers.

. Communicate trust-related matters clearly to family members and office leadership.

• Risk & Compliance

. Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and tax obligations in both Singapore and the UK.

. Monitor potential risks associated with trust structures and provide mitigation strategies.

. Stay up to date on changes in trust, estate, and succession laws that may impact the family.

Your Profile

. Proven track record in providing advisory on trust planning/ trust structuring, and knowledgeable in the relevant tax and legal implications.

. Open to candidates from legal (i.e. trust lawyer), trustee or banking background.

. Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be a plus to liaise with cross-border colleagues.
