We are working with a client that is looking to strengthen its facultative reinsurance broking capability across multiple lines. They are keen to hire experienced, commercially driven individuals with a strong production mindset and the ability to originate, place, and grow facultative business.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business productionacross facultative reinsurance, focusing on growth in premium and profitability.
- Originate and develop cedent relationships, identifying facultative opportunities across multiple product lines.
- Manage end-to-end facultative placements, including submissions, negotiations, structuring, and finalisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cedents, brokers, and reinsurers across the region.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing market insight, capacity guidance, and placement strategy.
- Represent the business in market meetings, industry events, and client presentations.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in facultative broking or underwriting.
- Strong production track record, with demonstrated ability to originate and grow facultative business.
- Experience placing facultative risks across multiple lines (open to strong specialists with expansion capability).
- Established cedent and market relationships within Asia
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating in a revenue-driven role.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a broader team environment.
