AVP/VP, Compliance (Singapore Office)

Key Accountabilities

• Be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate compliance process, systems and controls in relation to business activities of conducted by various business divisions in Singapore;
• Establish and maintain a regular compliance review program to identify compliance problems and cases of possible non-compliance with internal and external rules and regulations;
• Act as the main contact for the key regulators in Singapore and be responsible as a coordinator for on-site and off-site examinations to be carried out by the relevant regulators;
• Provide compliance advisory services to business on their products and services and to be actively involved in the review and approval of any new products and businesses proposed by the front office;
• Liaise with business units and other key support functions to evaluate and implement policies requirements and control processes as stipulated by Hong Kong Headquarters; and
• Such other duties as shall be from time to time directed by the supervisor/manager.

Skills & Experience

• Degree holder in Business, Finance, Law, or other related disciplines;
• 5 years or above of hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, with experience in financial industry would be an advantage;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Organized, responsible, detail-oriented, independent, self-motivated and good team player;
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multi-tasks with tight deadline;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English, proficiency in Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) will be an advantage.
