You will be part of the Product Management team, working closely with Business, Operations, Technology, Risk and other enabling functions to deliver initiatives that support business growth and operating efficiency. The team's mandate is to enable business opportunities, improve scalability and strengthen end-to-end processes as the organisation expands. This role provides exposure to complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple business lines.
As a Functional Analyst covering Back Office, Prime Brokerage and Leverage Products, you will play a key role in supporting the operating model for prime brokerage, listed derivatives and OTC leveraged products including Swaps, CFDs and FX. The role focuses on analysing existing workflows, identifying optimisation opportunities, and supporting system and process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce friction, and enable faster, well-controlled delivery of business initiatives. You will work closely with business and operational stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and aligned with commercial and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive product and platform initiatives across Prime Brokerage, listed derivatives and OTC leveraged products, supporting business growth, scalability and faster time-to-market.
- Collaborate closely with Business, Sales and Dealing Desk teams to shape product requirements, service models and bespoke solutions that meet client and commercial needs.
- Translate business objectives into clear functional designs, operating models and system requirements, balancing commercial outcomes with operational readiness.
- Support the delivery of new products, enhancements and market expansions by coordinating end-to-end implementation activities across Operations, Technology and other enabling teams.
- Act as the product-facing liaison to Technology teams, ensuring business intent is clearly articulated, solutions are fit-for-purpose, and delivery aligns with agreed priorities and timelines.
- Assess business and operational impacts of change requests, support prioritisation decisions, and contribute to roadmap planning for system and process enhancements.
- Establish and maintain clear documentation to support product implementation, change management and ongoing platform evolution.
- Provide post-implementation support to ensure product stability, adoption and continuous improvement based on business and operational feedback.
- Support audit and regulatory engagements by articulating product design, operating models and control considerations where required.
Key Skills & Competencies / Preferred Attributes
- Bachelor's Degree with 712 years of relevant experience in business analysis, product delivery or change management within Financial Services.
- Proven experience operating as a self-directed Functional Analyst, with exposure to Prime Brokerage, leverage or brokerage-related businesses preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial products and back-office processes, and how operating models support product scalability and client servicing.
- Sound knowledge of financial markets, trading workflows and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives end-to-end, working across Business, Operations, Technology and other enabling teams.
- Comfortable managing work across concurrent priorities, balancing delivery timelines, commercial considerations and control requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage in detailed discussions with development teams and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and translate insights into practical solutions.
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating ownership, accountability and consistency in execution.
