The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio reviews to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement across the customer and product lifecycle.
- Translate customer, claims, actuarial and financial insights into actionable portfolio strategies and interventions.
- Identify opportunities to improve product economics, persistency, customer lifetime value and sustainable growth.
- Develop robust business cases, prioritise initiatives and secure alignment for execution.
- Partner Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Claims and Operations teams to implement portfolio initiatives and drive outcomes.
- Deliver improvement in portfolio sustainability and performance with measurable business impact
- Identify, prioritise and drive portfolio interventions, tracking realised value and business outcomes from implementation
- 8-12 years of experience in insurance, actuarial, product, analytics or portfolio management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of insurance products, customer behaviour and portfolio dynamics.
- Experience working with large datasets and translating insights into business actions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong hunger to grow and demonstrate extreme ownership
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset, detail oriented and results driven
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Academic: Bachelor degree
