Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Marketing & Communications talent to join Maybank Securities Singapore (MSSG). Our business covers retail and institutional brokerage, prime brokerage, investment banking & advisory, and macro, markets and ESG research.
The role involves reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications and working closely with business leaders in ideating, developing and executing branding, marketing and communications strategies to elevate the Maybank brand, drive business growth and win market share.
(Please note that this is a 6-month maternity cover)
Job Responsibilities
- Identify story/content angles, tactical campaigns, and platforms to promote MSSG's brand and all products and services.
- Proactively engage with local and international media and key opinion leaders and influencers to pitch stories and seek coverage of our business leaders and analysts.
- Craft compelling speeches, interview talking points for business leaders, press releases, internal communication, social media posts, marketing collateral and other forms of communication, aligned with Maybank's key messages and guidelines.
- Identify and curate thought leadership content that resonates with our internal and external audiences across different platforms. The content may be drawn from our research.
- Identify and pitch MSSG's business leaders and analysts to speak at reputable events.
- Develop differentiated ideas for MSSG's own client events.
- Curate and manage internal townhalls.
- Compile, write, edit and co-ordinate award submissions for MSSG.
- Provide timely competitive analysis, and track and report on deliverables such as media coverage and sentiment on a regular basis and as and when required.
- Assist in other tasks related to other branding, marketing and communications activities and events of MSSG and Maybank.

Job Requirements
- Experience working in the financial or securities industry.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in marketing and communications with a proven track record in executing campaigns and plans.
- Experience in business journalism, finance, research, and/or content creation may be considered too.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to work independently and in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders, a self-starter and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and a can do attitude, and can work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in designing collateral and producing videos and podcasts would be an advantage.
- Degree holder.
