AVP, Internal Audit (Credit Review) - Premier Bank

Our client is a leading bank with established presence in the region. It is seeking to hire a Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit - Credit Review in Singapore.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of credit reviews and related audits across wholesale and corporate banking portfolios. This includes assessing credit quality, underwriting standards and adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. You will review the end-to-end credit process, including credit origination, approval, monitoring and remedial management. The role involves evaluating the effectiveness of credit risk controls and identifying areas for improvement in credit governance and portfolio quality. You will assist in preparing clear, concise audit reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

You have strong academic qualifications and at least 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit or credit review within a corporate or wholesale banking environment. You possess a deep understanding of corporate credit products, credit risk assessment and lending practices. Experience in reviewing credit portfolios of large and local corporates and structured financing deals will be advantageous. You are analytical, meticulous and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across credit, risk and business functions. Proficiency in audit tools or data analytics will be a plus.
