Job Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of operations-related projects or initiatives (Cash Management, Payments, Remittance)
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation
- Manage stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Business units
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards
Business Analysis
- Articulate, gather and document business requirements
- Perform gap analysis and process mapping
- Prioritize change requests
- Translate requirements into functional specifications
- Support UAT planning and execution
Remittance Expertise
- Support local and cross-border remittance operations
- Ensure system stability and operational efficiency for remittance platforms
- Drive enhancements and automation for remittance processes
Data Analytics
- Manage remittance data analytics for trend analysis, fraud detection, and operational insights
- Develop dashboards and reports for management
- Use data to optimize cost and improve STP (Straight Through Processing) rates
Operational Excellence
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- Identify operational risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams
- Prepare project updates, dashboards, and executive summaries
Regulatory & Risk Compliance
- Ensure projects comply with MAS regulations and internal risk frameworks
- Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field
- PMP/Prince2 certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years in banking operations with at least 5 years in project management
- Proven experience in remittance operations (local & cross-border)
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of remittance systems and payment platforms
- Familiarity with SWIFT, CBPR+, MEPS+, and cross-border payment rails
Data Analytics
- Proficiency in analyzing large datasets for operational insights
- Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL
Regulatory Knowledge
- Familiarity with MAS guidelines, AML/KYC, and operational risk frameworks
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in automation and digital transformation projects
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
