What You Do
- Strengthen privacy governance across the OCBC Group.
- Hold yourself to high ethical standards, embrace technology, and treat personal data with respect and humility.
- Analyse and interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance.
- Articulate complex regulatory issues clearly and produce well-structured written analysis.
- Practice sound judgment and implement a pragmatic approach to risk management.
- Advise on the Group's compliance with relevant data protection laws across our key markets.
- Act as a point of contact with data protection regulators.
- Foster a data protection culture by delivering ongoing training.
- Serve as the Group's key decision maker in regulatory notifications.
- Oversee data protection impact assessments and work with stakeholders to implement controls.
- Develop data protection frameworks and policies
Who You Are
- Be intellectually curious, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-evolving regulatory environment.
- Have exposure to privacy governance frameworks, regulatory engagement or certification programmes would be an advantage.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in data protection or privacy. Candidates with experience in internal or external audit, financial services, technology regulation or governance frameworks will be particularly well suited.
- Have a good degree in law, accountancy or a related discipline.
- Have a CIPM, CIPP or other relevant data protection certifications.
