We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases within a leading banking platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Avaloq's architecture, proven experience in release/change management, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across technology and business functions to ensure high-quality, timely, and secure deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end release management process for Avaloq, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deployment.
- Work closely with development, testing, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of Avaloq releases (core, parameterization, customizations, and interfaces).
- Define and enforce release policies, governance, and best practices across environments (development, SIT, UAT, production).
- Manage release-related risks, dependencies, and conflicts, ensuring issues are proactively identified and resolved.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement in the release management process.
- Provide transparency and communication to stakeholders on release scope, status, and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and security requirements throughout the release lifecycle.
- Act as the main point of contact for release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and post-release retrospectives.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in IT Release Management, with at least 23 years in an Avaloq environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Avaloq core banking system, parameterization, customization, and interfaces.
- Experience with deployment tools, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Release, and Configuration Management).
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex, regulated financial services environment.
- Familiarity with private banking or wealth management business processes is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Avaloq certification (ACP or similar) is highly desirable.
- Experience in large-scale Avaloq transformation or upgrade projects.
- Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Previous experience in private banking or wealth management.
