Overview
We are looking for Avaloq Developers (Avaloq Certified Professional) to join an established delivery team, focusing on defect analysis, troubleshooting, and system stabilisation within an existing Avaloq environment.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who can quickly understand complex customisations, work independently, and deliver high-quality fixes across the Avaloq platform. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, testers, and operations teams to ensure system stability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, diagnose, and resolve functional and technical defects within the Avaloq platform
- Perform root cause analysis across Avaloq components including scripts, tasks, reports, interfaces, and database objects
- Develop and unit test fixes in line with Avaloq development standards
- Support defect resolution across environments (Development, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Production)
- Work closely with business analysts and QA teams to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and ensure completeness
- Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and do not introduce regressions
- Support release and deployment activities, including packaging and post-release validation
- Maintain technical documentation for fixes, known issues, and enhancements
- Identify opportunities to improve existing code and system configurations
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as an Avaloq Developer in implementation or post go-live support environments
- Proven ability to work independently in defect resolution and system support scenarios
- Solid experience with:
- Avaloq Script
- Task definitions and execution
- Screen reports, print reports, and datamarts
- Oracle databases (SQL and understanding of Avaloq data models)
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills within complex Avaloq environments
- Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP)
- Experience working with existing (non-greenfield) systems and customisations
- Exposure to financial products such as Equities, Bonds, Managed Funds, Structured Products, Money Market, or Fiduciary services would be good to have
- Experience with Avaloq interfaces (e.g., file-based integrations, messaging, APIs)
- Familiarity with release management and controlled deployment processes
