Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will combine strong project coordination skills with hands-on AV technical expertise to deliver end-to-end VC/AV projects. You'll be the key liaison between sales, operations, vendors, and external partners-ensuring every installation runs on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
This role may require occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on project schedules, site access windows, or critical deployment timelines. Such work will be planned in advance where possible and compensated in accordance with the company's off-in-lieu and on-site work policies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) in collaboration with Account Managers
- Schedule installations and logistics with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
Installation & Commissioning
- Install, configure and test VC/AV equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues during deployment
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards
- Perform installations during after hours or weekends when required by project or client
Client Interaction & Training
- Lead product demos and on-site walkthroughs with clients
- Deliver post-installation training and end user support
- Address and resolve client queries, service requests and escalations
Project Close-out & Support
- Perform final acceptance tests and handover documentation
- Coordinate warranty service and ongoing maintenance
- Handle RMA and warranty processes for DOA or defective equipment
- Liaise with Sales and Account teams on project reviews and lessons learned
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in AV, Information Systems / Computer Science / Civil Engineering / Building / Construction / Project Management
- 2+ years project management experience (AV, IT or related B2B environment)
- 1+ year of hands-on technical experience with VC/AV/IT installations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Passion for AV/VC technology and emerging collaboration tools
- Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Residency
- Driver's licence and own transport preferred
