AUTOMOBILE MECHANIC & OPS

We are looking for an experienced Automobile Mechanic to handle vehicle diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, as well as oversee container stuffing operations. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, safety-conscious and able to guide a team.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and servicing maintenance on passenger and commercial vehicles.

Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems and other vehicle components.

Assess vehicle condition and recommend necessary repairs or replacement parts.

Oversee the packing, loading and securing of vehicles, cut vehicle sections and automotive parts into containers.

Plan container loading arrangements and calculate how many vehicles or cut vehicle sections of different cutting configurations can fit, taking into account dimensions, weight limits and safe loading requirements.

Supervise container stuffing to maximize space utilization and prevent damage during transport.

Guide and train new staff in workshop procedures, safe working practices and container stuffing.

Liaise with overseas customers regarding vehicle condition, cutting requirements, packing arrangements and technical queries.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and container contents.

Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, organized and safe.

Requirements

Relevant hands-on experience as an Automobile Mechanic and/or Procurement Coordinator, including work on passenger and commercial vehicles.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems.

Practical experience in container stuffing, including loading and securing vehicles and cut vehicle sections.

Ability to estimate container capacity for different vehicle cutting configurations and prepare loading plans.

Ability to read and follow vehicle cutting and packing instructions.

Experience guiding new staff and coordinating daily work.

Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with overseas customers.

Responsible, organized and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays when required.

Valid driving license and Forklift license would be an advantage.
