Automation Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Java/Python, TestNG, JUnit).
• Develop automation frameworks and reusable components to support regression, functional, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.
• Perform thorough analysis of test results and root cause of failures.
• Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests.
• Maintain and enhance test suites to ensure accuracy and relevancy with application changes.
• Ensure test coverage meets quality standards expected for public sector compliance (e.g., data privacy, security, accessibility).
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and production readiness validation.
• Document automation strategies, test cases, and results in alignment with government project standards.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in software test automation.
• Proven experience working on public sector or government projects, understanding of regulatory and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Postman (for API testing), and scripting in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, BDD with Cucumber).
• Familiar with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Basic knowledge of manual testing and ability to perform hybrid QA tasks when required.
• Familiarity with government security protocols, IM8 policies, and G50 clearance processes.
