Automation Tester

Role Overview:We are seeking a driven Automation Tester with 5-7 years of experience to lead the design and maintenance of automated test solutions. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality, secure, and compliant software delivery within a public sector context, requiring a deep understanding of automated frameworks and CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Development: Design and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, Java/Python, TestNG, or JUnit.

• Framework Engineering: Build and enhance automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, BDD/Cucumber) and reusable components for functional and regression testing.

• CI/CD Integration: Support DevOps workflows by integrating automated test suites into pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all testing meets rigorous public sector standards, including data privacy, security, and accessibility requirements.

• Analysis & Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis of failures and maintain test suites to reflect ongoing application changes.

• Collaboration: Work with developers and BAs to translate requirements into test cases support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production readiness.

• Documentation: Maintain automation strategies and results in alignment with government project standards.

Technical Requirements

Experience & Domain Knowledge:

• 5-7 years in software test automation.

• Proven experience in Public Sector/Government projects is essential.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Tooling & Scripting:

• Web & Mobile: Selenium, Appium.

• API Testing: Postman.

• Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Test Management: JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

Infrastructure:

• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong grasp of modern automation architectures (POM, BDD).

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Performance Testing: Exposure to JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Hybrid QA: Ability to perform manual testing when necessary.

• Government Protocols: Familiarity with IM8 policies, government security protocols, and G50 clearance processes.
