Automation Software Engineer (SL)

Design and develop software applications for automated machinery, covering machine control, robotic systems and vision inspection.

Assist with the installation, commissioning and validation of automation control systems and related qualification activities.

Assist in developing electrical and control circuit designs for individual machines and integrated automation lines.

Manage assigned automation projects or project sub-modules from development through implementation.

Conduct machine setup, testing and troubleshooting to ensure equipment performs according to specifications.

Provide technical and field support for automation machines and systems.

Undertake overseas travel when required for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and project support.

Provide regular updates on project progress, technical issues, risks and critical matters to management, vendors and other stakeholders.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving equipment, processes, materials and control systems.

Monitor outstanding technical issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and within the required timeframe.

Knowledge or experience in developing high-performance vision algorithms is an advantage.
