Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality control software following SDLC principles for semiconductor equipment applications
- Translate equipment and customer requirements into functional design specifications and detailed technical documentation
- Support control system architecture design and perform system-level requirement analysis
- Design and update electrical schematics for automation systems used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Select and source electrical/automation components prepare and maintain BOMs
- Develop, test, and debug PLC and HMI programs for equipment control and automation
- Execute system integration, validation, and commissioning at both in-house and customer sites
- Ensure accurate and complete engineering documentation throughout project lifecycle
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and process teams to ensure seamless system performance
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support at semiconductor fabs and customer facilities
- Analyse existing control software and implement improvements for stability, efficiency, and performance
- Ensure project milestones are met with timely resolution of technical and operational issues
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, automation systems, or precision machinery industry
- Strong experience in PLC and HMI programming is required
- Knowledge of Motion Control, PID tuning, Analog systems, or process automation is required
- Ability to read, design, and troubleshoot electrical schematics independently
- Strong analytical thinking and hands-on troubleshooting skills in equipment-level issues
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to engineering quality standards
- Able to work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment with tight deadlines
