Automation QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an Automation QA Engineer with experience in Playwright, Java, and BDD automation. The candidate will automate functional and regression testing, contribute to framework enhancements, and adopt AI-assisted development practices to improve testing efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with experience in automation engineering. The candidate should enjoy solving engineering challenges, learning emerging AI technologies, and leverage on to use existing AI-powered solutions for software testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Java.

Knowledge on using MCP's

Write BDD scenarios using Cucumber.

Execute regression, smoke, and functional automation suites.

Perform API testing and automation.

Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Investigate and report defects with detailed analysis.

Maintain automation scripts and improve test stability.

Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts.

Contribute to CI/CD automation execution.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).

Familiarity with prompt engineering for test automation.

Skilled in Playwright with Java, Core Java, Cucumber BDD,Maven, Git, API testing (REST Assured or Postman), Agile methodology

Good communication skills and analytical thinking

Team player with attention to detail and continuous learning mindset
