Role Overview
Responsible for the design and development of in-house automated equipment, covering mechanical structure, mechanisms, and system integration. The role involves end-to-end participation from concept design and modelling to manufacturing support and system commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems including structure, mechanisms, and equipment layout
- Perform 3D modelling, simulation, and detailed design work
- Develop tooling and fixtures for production and assembly
- Select and integrate motors, pneumatic components, and standard parts define motion concepts
- Prepare technical documentation (drawings, BOM, process documents, standards)
- Coordinate with suppliers and follow up on fabrication of custom components
- Support system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
Ideal Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design (automation preferred)
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD tools
- Strong knowledge of machining, assembly, and mechanism design (including strength & stiffness calculations)
- Able to independently handle moderately complex design tasks
- Experience in automation or robotic integration is advantageous
- Background in biomedical, chemical, or medical devices is a plus
- Good communication skills and a strong team player
- Fluent in English
- Willing to travel internationally for training
