Automation Engineer

Company business: This is a Singapore headquartered company specialising in the development, manufacture and distribution of premium skin care, personal care, beauty, health and wellness brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Automation & IT function, managing resources and technical capabilities to support production and business goals.

• Own and manage Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing systems, including ERP, MES, BMS, ASRS, PLCs, and automated equipment.

• Lead system installation, commissioning, validation, testing, and troubleshooting for capital projects.

• Manage automation and IT projects from scope, budgeting, scheduling, engineering, implementation through testing and verification.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance, system testing, calibration, and critical spare parts strategies.

• Investigate system failures, troubleshoot issues, and drive CAPA and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, EHS, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

• 5-7 years of automation engineering experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical, food, or cosmetic manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience with ERP, MES, PLC, BMS, Industry 4.0, and plant start-up projects.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

• Fluent in English, independent, organized, and able to work under pressure.
