Automation Engineer (GMP/Regulated manufacturing environment)

Responsibilities

• Lead the Automation & IT function, managing resources and ensuring operational goals are met.

• Own and manage Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing systems, including ERP, MES, BMS, ASRS, PLCs, and automated equipment.

• Support installation, commissioning, testing, verification, and troubleshooting of automation systems and capital projects.

• Manage automation/IT projects from scope, budgeting, scheduling, implementation through testing and commissioning.

• Develop and execute maintenance, calibration, functional testing, and spare parts strategies.

• Lead troubleshooting, failure investigations, and CAPA activities.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, EHS, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

• 5-7 years of automation engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

• Experience with ERP, MES, PLC, BMS, Industry 4.0, and plant start-up is preferred.

• Independent, organized, able to manage priorities, and a strong team player.
