Position: Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are currently expanding our team and are looking for an automation engineer on site with a client. In summary, you will be supporting automation system upgrades, system configuration, computerized system validation (CSV), and IT/OT integration activities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support automation system upgrade projects from planning through implementation and qualification.
• Configure, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain automation systems in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Perform system lifecycle activities including design review, configuration, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.
• Develop and execute CSV deliverables
• Support software version upgrades, migrations, patch management, and cybersecurity remediation activities.
• Execute and document system configuration changes through approved change control processes.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification, and system release activities.
• Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve automation and system integration issues.
• Maintain automation systems in a validated state throughout their lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science field (e.g., biology, biotechnology, biochemistry). .
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in GMP environments (pharma, biotech, manufacturing).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
• Great team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external contacts at all levels
