Develop automation strategy aligned with business and manufacturing goals.
Identify and prioritize automation opportunities with ROI justification.
Oversee the full automation project portfolio, from concept and detailed design of automation systems (or automated lines), including jig and fixture design, through testing, debugging, buy-off, and final handover to production.
Manage automation resource allocation, capability development and team performance.
Lead automation CapEx planning and budget control.
Establish automation technical standards and governance framework.
Drive long-term productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional leaders.
Ensure safety compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering Master Degree is an advantage.
At least 8 years of relevant automation experience, preferably with leadership exposure.
Deep understanding of automation system architecture and manufacturing processes.
Expertise in robotics, PLCs, vision systems, and motion control.
Advanced troubleshooting skills with strong knowledge of reliability engineering.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strategic and business-oriented mindset with strong decision-making ability and accountability.
Strategic planning and financial acumen (ROI analysis, cost modelling).
Proven capability in project portfolio management, capacity planning, and productivity modeling.
Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
