- Machine Operation: Ensure smooth operation of machines under your care. Following 5S principles for workspace organization and cleanliness.
- Machine Efficiency: Uphold the machine efficiency of the machines under your care through proper preventive tool maintenance, effective troubleshooting listed below.
- Tool Maintenance: Monitor tool wear and perform routine maintenance on cutting tools to ensure peak performance and minimal waste.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to machine performance, tooling, and programming, applying problem-solving techniques rooted in LEAN methodologies.
- Part Yield Count: This metric is a major component of your performance. Not only the output of the machine, but the parts produced must also be of good quality through proper quality control process.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality checks to meet the standards and specifications of the machines in use, minimizing defects.
- Innovation: Demonstrate a proactive can do attitude by researching and proposing alternate ways of production within the automatic lathe boundary when existing methods are inadequate, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tool changes, and production data for the specific machine groups in use.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including CNC operators and engineers, to optimize production processes and achieve production targets through LEAN practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, with expertise in operating machines such as Cincom Citizen B12, L12, A20, or equivalents from brands like Tsugami, Star, or Tornos.
- Basic understanding in CNC programming and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for specific machine models.
- Strong knowledge of machine tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds for the specified machine groups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Hands-On CNC Machining Exposure Gain valuable experience operating advanced automatic CNC lathes, including Cincom Citizen, Tsugami, Star, and Tornos machines.
- Develop Technical & Troubleshooting Skills Strengthen expertise in CNC programming, tooling, cutting parameters, machine setup, and troubleshooting to improve machine performance.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Contribute ideas and alternative production methods while applying LEAN principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve processes.
- Strong Focus on Quality & Precision Develop expertise in quality control, part inspection, tool maintenance, and process monitoring to consistently achieve high-quality production output.
- Collaborative Manufacturing Environment Work closely with CNC operators, engineers, and production teams in a fast-paced environment focused on safety, efficiency, teamwork, and operational excellence.
