Job Summary
The AS/RS Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated storage and retrieval systems. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of automated warehouse equipment, including cranes, conveyors, shuttles, sensors, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AS/RS equipment to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability
- Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and communication networks
- Respond promptly to system alarms and operational issues
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance logs and documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance
- Assist in system upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Train operators on basic system use and safety procedures
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working with automated systems, material handling equipment, or industrial machinery
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies
