Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automated CNC Lathe Operator role based in Singapore. The Automated CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include loading materials, selecting and installing tools, inputting and adjusting CNC programs, and performing test runs to verify dimensions and tolerances. The role involves inspecting finished parts using measurement tools, documenting production data, and coordinating with supervisors or engineers to resolve machining issues. The operator is also expected to follow all safety procedures, maintain clean and organized work areas, perform basic machine maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the machining process.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of CNC lathe operation, including machine setup, tooling selection, and basic program adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection tools.
• Knowledge of machining processes, materials, cutting speeds, and feeds relevant to automated lathe work.
• Commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and correct dimensional or quality issues.
• Experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment is preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in Singapore and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Vocational training, technical certification, or equivalent experience in CNC machining or related fields is an advantage.
