Job Description
SHEVS IFT Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD / CAD Drafter to support fire safety and Smoke Heat Exhaust Ventilation Systems (SHEVS) projects. The role focuses on preparing accurate technical drawings based on instructions from engineers, along with basic coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, update, and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings based on instructions from engineers and project requirements.
- Develop layout plans, sections, and detailed drawings for fire safety and smoke control systems.
- Perform basic coordination with internal engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant authority requirements.
- Revise drawings based on feedback, coordination inputs, and site conditions.
- Maintain proper documentation, drawing records, and file management.
- Support occasional site visits when required to understand site conditions or assist coordination.
Requirements
- Minimum ITE / Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) is essential.
- Basic understanding of fire safety systems, HVAC, or building services is an advantage.
- Knowledge of BIM (e.g., Revit) is a plus.
- Able to follow technical instructions from engineers accurately.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to perform occasional site visits when required.
