Job Description

Responsibilities:

Audit Engagements

. Assist in planning and execution of statutory audit engagements in accordance with SSA and firm policies.

. Perform audit fieldwork, prepare working papers, and draft financial statements.

. Identify and escalate accounting and auditing issues to Senior/Manager.

. Assist in preparing audit planning documents and risk assessments.

. Support the team to ensure engagements are completed within agreed timelines.

Client Management

. Liaise with clients to obtain audit information under guidance of Senior/Manager.

. Respond to audit queries in a timely and professional manner.

. Gain understanding of clients business operations and internal controls.

Team Leadership & Development

. Guide and assist junior staff in completing assigned audit tasks.

. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality audit delivery.

Compliance & Quality

. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act, and relevant regulatory updates.

. Ensure all audit procedures and documentation meet the firm's quality control standards and ISQC 1 (or ISQM 1) requirements.

. Safeguard confidentiality and adhere to the firm's Code of Ethics and professional conduct.

Administrative & Professional Responsibilities

. Monitor engagement progress, billing, and collection status, and report variances to the manager/partner.

. Participate in internal initiatives such as training, process improvement, or technical updates.

. Handle ad hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

. A recognised degree in Accountancy and professional accounting qualifications such as CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent

. At least 5 years experience in accounting firm or equivalent

. A strong understanding of technical skills, specifically in SFRS/IFRS and SSA/ISA.

. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

. Excellent communication skills with customers and cross-functional teams

. Strong analytical skills and excellent business acumen

. Strong team leadership & people management skills.

. Proactive and have a positive attitude towards challenges.

. The ability to adapt to changes in technology.
