Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Audit Associate to join the assurance team. In this role, you will support various stages of the audit process under supervision. You will gain insight into the principles behind audit tasks and progressively take ownership of your work, applying known solutions to familiar challenges while developing your technical and professional competencies.
- Assist in the execution of audit engagements in accordance with auditing standards and firm procedures.
- Obtain an understanding of clients businesses, industries, and control environments.
- Contribute to the development of audit plans and strategies for financial statement audits.
- Document planning procedures and tailor audit programs based on audit risks and areas of emphasis.
- Conduct audit tests of controls and substantive procedures to evaluate financial assertions such as existence, completeness, rights and obligations, valuation, accuracy, and presentation/disclosure.
- Identify and document audit findings and assist in the preparation of audit reports.
- Work collaboratively with team members, communicate effectively, and build strong client relationships.
- Recognize and respond to ethical issues in accordance with the code of professional conduct and ethics.
Requirements:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Pursuing or planning to pursue a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA).
