Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our Audit & Assurance team. The role involves performing statutory audits in accordance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and relevant financial reporting frameworks (e.g., SFRS / SFRS(I)).

The Audit Associate will support Audit Seniors on larger and more complex engagements and is expected to independently manage smaller audit assignments, ensuring compliance with ACRA regulatory requirements and firm policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform statutory audits in compliance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and ACRA regulatory requirements
  • Execute audit procedures including risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and substantive testing
  • Prepare and maintain proper audit documentation in accordance with SSA 230 (Audit Documentation)
  • Assist in identifying and assessing risks of material misstatement (SSA 315) and respond appropriately (SSA 330)
  • Perform analytical procedures and evaluate audit evidence obtained
  • Draft financial statements in accordance with SFRS / SFRS(I) and assist in preparation of audit reports
  • Communicate audit findings, issues, and recommendations to Audit Seniors and Managers
  • Liaise with clients to obtain audit evidence and resolve queries in a professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with ACRA Practice Monitoring Programme (PMP) expectations and firm quality control standards
  • Independently manage smaller audit engagements from planning to completion


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of audit experience, preferably in a public accounting firm in Singapore
  • Familiarity with SSA, SFRS / SFRS(I), and ACRA requirements
  • Pursuing or eligible to pursue ISCA / ACCA / CPA Australia or equivalent professional qualification
  • Good understanding of audit methodology, risk-based auditing, and internal controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software (e.g., CaseWare or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
